LASH EXTENSION INFORMATION
Welcome to the world of lash extensions! These individual synthetic eyelashes are attached to each of your natural lashes, not your skin, giving you longer, fuller, and thicker lashes without the need for mascara. They are made to mimic the look and feel of natural lashes and are applied one by one by Jacquelyn Abrams, a certified Lash Expert since 2008. The process involves lying down in a comfortable position with your eyes closed for 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the service you choose. The result is a luxurious and natural-looking set of lashes that are tailored just for you. So sit back, relax, and let us give you the lash look you’ve always wanted!
An ideal lash candidate should:
Have healthy eyes:free from eye infections or symptoms of eye infections and fully recovered and healed from eye surgeries or eye procedures.
Has intact skin on the eyelid and along the lash line.
Does not have allergies/sensitivities to acrylates or cyanoacrylates adhesives.
Is comfortable lying down for 2 to 3 hours on their back with their eyes closed
Is available to follow the Aftercare Guidelines.
Available for refills every 2 weeks.
Avoid water, steam, sweat, heavy humidity, and heat near lash extensions for 24 hours after each service.
Avoid oily products/makeup removers near lash extensions..
Be over 18 years of age.
Have natural lashes for lash extensions to be applied to.
Sensitive Skin:
Although eyelash extensions are not applied to the skin, allergic reactions are possible from adhesive or under-eye pads. The area around your eyes is easily irritated by skincare products or cosmetics. Clients with known allergies should alert the lash stylist prior to beginning the procedure. If you are allergic to cyanoacrylates then you are unable to have lash extensions..
Medical Conditions
A common cold or sinus infection can cause irritation and/or eye secretions which can cause inadequate bonding of the adhesive and premature loss of your eyelash extensions. Extensions should not be applied on individuals who have recently completed or are undergoing chemotherapy, have severe alopecia or who suffer from trichotillomania or thrichosis. If you have an eye condition where the eye does not look healthy or have an adhesive or latex allergy, you are probably not a candidate for eyelash extensions. Consult with your ophthalmologist for a recommendation or stop in for a consultation.
EXTENDED LASH CARE
Be gentle with your lashes and brush daily
Do not pull on the eyelids or rub the eyes.
Do not use oil-based products (makeup, skincare, etc.) on or around the lashes.
Do not use mascara.
Clean your lashes regularly using a mild oil-free soap and water or products that your professional recommend, gently pat dry and do not rub.
Do not cut your lash extensions.
Do not use cotton tip swabs (Qtips) to clean lash extensions.
Do not tint or perm the lash extensions.
Avoid blasts of direct heat or steam, as this can cause the lash extensions to lose shape and/or burn the lashes.
Never pull off lash extensions as this will pull out your natural lashes.
Do not remove lash extensions on your own. If you need lash extensions to be removed, contact a professional and setup a removal appointment.
